Jefferson City, Mo., December 22, 2009 – Gov. Jay Nixon today announced his appointment of Timothy G. Dolan to the Alzheimer’s State Plan Task Force. Tim Dolan will begin serving in the position immediately, and will be subject to confirmation by the Missouri Senate when it re-convenes in January. Dolan is the CEO and president of Dolan Residential Care Centers, which he founded in 1995. The Dolan facilities are designed to meet the needs of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia-related disorders. The Governor has appointed Dolan for a term ending Nov. 1, 2012.Dolan Dementia Care Centers are part of a revolutionary concept in the care of those afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. The programs and facilities have been developed in collaboration with the world-renowned Corinne Dolan Alzheimer’s Center and Research Center in Chardon, Ohio. Their mission is to create care programs for patients with Alzheimer’s disease; and find ways to improve quality of life not only for Alzheimer’s patients, but for their families as well.Dolan residential facilities provide a safe, supportive and flexible environment for each resident to function in a home-like setting. Each is located in suburban neighborhoods in the St Louis metropolitan area.
